Vocal Harmony and Acoustic Mastery Called METAFOUR
Metaphor is a figure of speech which uses a word or phrase to an object which it does not literally denote. MetaFour is a musical quartet whose vocal harmony and acoustic mastery is their very meaning of existence.
While creating waves and attracting loyal followers in the live band circuit for barely a year, Donna, Francis, MC and Ryan recorded their self titled album -- MetaFour -- now released by Universal Records under Brown Cow Entertainment Productions.
They were with different bands when the group met in college and decided to form an entirely unique musical entity. With their ambivalent backgrounds and talents they come up with a distinct sound, which instantly became a main attraction along nightspot row.
Sultry Donna is on vocals. Oozing with talent, Francis plays keyboards and also sings. MC handles the kahon and vocals while Ryan is the guitar wiz from UP's Conservatory of Music.
"Friends," the album's carrier single straightforwardly tells us MetaFour's vast potentials. Their performance simply mesmerizes, yet it also soothes and uplifts.
There are more songs in the MetaFour CD that are just as highly entertaining and at the same time relaxing: "Give It To Me," "One Day In Your Life," " I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Bahala Na," "Handa Na," "Thinkin'About," "Love Floats".
Here's one rare musical package laden with hit single potentials, all of them wonderfully performed by MetaFour and sleekly produced by Raymond Timbol and Jimmy Antiporda, with Kathleen Dy-Go as executive producer.
Recording has always been a dream with MetaFour. Francis, with a demo CD in hand, literally knocked on Jimmy Antiporda's (his neighbor) door. The composer/arranger/producer/musical director didn't take them in right away, but saw the potentials of the band. Antiporda was impressed by MetaFour's talents and dedication to their art, so he guided them to rightfully start a successful musical career.
On the latter part of 2005, the group signed a management and recording deal with the newly organized Brown Cow Entertainment Productions.
Brown Cow inked a pact with Universal Records for the nationwide release of the debut MetaFour album.
With their own brand of pop fused with rhythm and blues, the band is all set to conquer the scene with simply Metafouric sensations.
